Friend --

On Wednesday, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer announced he is retiring.

That means our Democratic majority will soon have the great responsibility of
confirming a new member of the Supreme Court.

But first, we owe Justice Breyer a debt of gratitude for his lifetime of
service. During his nearly three decades as a Supreme Court justice, Justice
Breyer has been a key vote in landmark decisions that will shape our country for
generations. From the environment to same-sex marriage to abortion rights to
health care and so much more, we are grateful for the voice, dignity, and
perspective he brought to the court.

Before we get ready to confirm a new justice to the Supreme Court, please join me in thanking Justice Breyer for his many decades of service to our country. Add your name here: [link removed] SIGN ON → [link removed]

There's going to be a lot of news in the weeks and months to come as President
Biden announces his nominee and the confirmation process begins. And we're
likely going to face some tough fights ahead. I promise to keep you updated
every step of the way.

More soon,

Chuck Schumer SIGN ON → [link removed]
