The issue of voting rights has been in the news a lot lately, and rightly so. The GOP has been targeting segments of voters to suppress their votes on election day, and Democrats are fighting back on behalf of our democracy.

One targeted group that often gets overlooked is the LGBTQ+ community, particularly trans folks. Overly strict ID laws make it difficult for many trans people to live their true identity and perform their civic duty at the same time. Republicans know this, and they’re happy to continue making it harder to access the ballot box.

We can’t allow this to continue. If you agree, sign our petition demanding the Senate pass voting rights protections in America.

The attacks on voting rights in recent years represent the single largest threat to our democracy. Democrats are trying to fight for voter protections, but reform legislation in the Senate just failed last week.

Nothing worth fighting for has ever been easy, and we can’t give up now. Our democracy depends on it.

Republicans around the country are determined to suppress the vote for elections to come. They’ve specifically targeted voters of color and young voters because of their historical support for Democrats.

Elections should be won by the best candidates with the best ideas, not by who can stop certain segments of voters from getting to the polls.
