In "normal" times, nominating a new Supreme Court justice is a piece of cake – heck, back in the day you'd even find bipartisan support (Breyer was confirmed with an 87-to-9 vote, believe it or not!).
But damnit, if that Merrick Garland/Mitch McConnell fiasco taught me anything, it's that the modern-day GOP will not hold back when it comes to their power games ... no matter the cost.
