Center for Reproductive Rights Donate

Hi there,

In many ways, 2021 was a landmark year in the fight for reproductive rights. Through it all, and with your support, we remained strong in the face of increasingly extreme attacks from our opponents in countries around the world.

As we enter a new year, I hope I can count on your continued partnership because we simply cannot stop now. I hope you'll renew your support for the Center for Reproductive Rights in the most efficient and effective way possible by becoming a Champion for Reproductive Rights.

Champions are a community of donors who make an automatic, recurring contribution each month. They play a vital role in ensuring that we have a reliable base of support to plan our work for the long term, and we know they'll be right there with us every step of the way.

Becoming a monthly donor is the easiest way to support reproductive rights around the world. You choose how much you give, and you can change, pause, or cancel your contribution at any time. And if you start your monthly gift by January 31, you'll receive your official 2022 Champions for Reproductive Rights supporter card to keep as a symbol of your dedication to this fight, so please don't wait!

Last year, we defended against the most extreme attacks on abortion rights in decades in the United States. But we also worked to advance reproductive rights and hold governments accountable for their human rights obligations in countries around the world.

Here are just some of the things we accomplished together in 2021:

  • In a landmark ruling, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights established standards throughout the region to help protect women seeking reproductive health care, including abortion. The ruling came in our case, Manuela v. El Salvador, filed on behalf of our client, Manuela, who was unjustly sentenced to 30 years in prison under the country's total abortion ban after experiencing an obstetric emergency.

  • After years of advocacy by the Center and our partners, Nepal agreed to decriminalize abortion and protect the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and girls.

  • After years of forcing public schoolgirls to undergo pregnancy testing and permanently expelling them if they were found pregnant, the Tanzanian government announced it would end the discriminatory and oppressive policy. The Center and our partners are actively litigating a case on behalf of six Tanzanian girls to ensure this change is lasting.

  • The European Parliament passed a resolution affirming that sexual and reproductive health and rights are fundamental human rights that must be upheld by all European Union member states.

None of this work is possible without the unwavering support and partnership of our Champions for Reproductive Rights. By renewing your support with a monthly contribution today, you will ensure that we can continue this critical work in 2022 and beyond.

Please start a recurring gift by January 31 to stand with us and receive your official Champions for Reproductive Rights supporter card.

Thank you for all that you do. Here's to another year of advancing reproductive rights around the world.

Sincerely,

Enid Muthoni
