John,

If you didn’t know, this year’s election is unique.

Every single state elected office is up for grabs – from the Governor to the Attorney General to every seat in the Minnesota Legislature. It’s the most crowded ballot we’ve seen in over a decade.

Facing the headwinds of a midterm election where Democrats control the White House, we always knew we had a tough fight ahead of us this year.

Trust me when I say that we are doing everything we can to recruit and train candidates, support our DFL incumbents, and build the local organizing infrastructure we need to protect and expand our House DFL majority. But we can’t do it alone.

If we’re going to keep the MN GOP from retaking power in November, it’s going to take a historic team effort, which is why I’m reaching out personally today.

The Minnesota DFL’s job is to coordinate all of the organizing work happening across the state. It’s always a huge responsibility, but this year, their work is more important than ever – and it’s up to all of us to make sure they’re successful.

John, if you’re able, will you join me and contribute to the Minnesota DFL today so they can continue ramping up their statewide organizing program on schedule? I’m hoping to help them raise $5,000 by the end of the day, and I can’t do it without you.

Thank you,

Melissa Hortman
Speaker of the House
Minnesota House of Representatives
