It’s 2022 and the Fight is engaged. From voter suppression to fake news to anti-vaxxers we are already in an onslaught. But not to worry, we are here to take the fight to the anti-democracy folks and the “bad players”. Edil and DC will be providing you with info about our work and who we are supporting. I wanted to chip in by providing a series of strategy memos so you will know what we are doing and why.

These pieces are about why and how we will win seats for progressive candidates who are trying to move our democracy in a better direction. As you know we are about preserving and furthering civil rights and making America a safe place to raise a family and build community.

First and foremost our strategies are built on three key principles.

Community empowerment is critical to democratic functioning. Whether you are a person of color or a working class white family, you need to have your voice heard.
Campaigns are a mix of science and art. Winning minds and hearts is not just a numbers thing but also a challenge of inspiration and hope.
We fight. We are not trying to just win an argument with the core of the Right Wing. We are fighting with them and won’t let up. It’s been 45 years for me and I am not about to let up now.

But our methods and goals are towards achieving a majority agreement on what is democracy and what are civil rights. We think the vast majority of Americans can agree on this and that it will be for the betterment of us all.
