With the March primary on the horizon, the Texas GOP is actively disenfranchising voters in an attempt to manipulate the election.
Due to new restrictive voting laws, which include a strict identification requirement for mail in ballots, Texas election officials have been rejecting hundreds of mail in applications.
More than ever, we need to fight against the GOP’s barriers to voting. That is why we are asking you to join us in our movement to protect voters. Will you donate $ASK today and support us in our fight against repressive voting laws? In Harris County alone, Texas’ most populous county, 16% of mail in applications have been rejected. Even more extreme, Travis County officials acknowledged that they have rejected approximately half of applications.
The GOP keeps emphasizing that strict voting laws are an attempt to curb voter fraud, but we know better than to trust their words. Voting laws like Texas’ are undemocratic by nature, purposefully creating hoops for voters to jump through.
The GOP knows that if they play fair, they cannot win. If we keep up our fight against their tactics, we can uphold the integrity of American elections, empowering voters from all walks of life.
Please, contribute today to help end the GOP’s disenfranchising practices. [[link removed]]
