Hey John! Emma here, Lauren’s Finance Director.

My job is to make sure our campaign has the resources we need to organize our community year-round, knock on doors, keep our ads up and running, and more to ensure voters know about the great work Lauren is doing in Washington on behalf of her district.

So every month or so, I sit down with Lauren and our team and we set fundraising goals and deadlines to keep us on track.

One of those deadlines is coming up quickly — our first end-of-month deadline of this year expires on Monday. And to be completely honest, we still have quite a bit of ground to make up in order to hit our goal.

Now, I’m not telling you all of this to guilt you into donating to our campaign because “the sky is falling.” It’s not, and that’s not how we run this campaign.

But I will tell you that your support helps us ensure that we have the resources to run the strongest campaign possible — and with a race as competitive as ours, that makes all the difference in the world.

That’s why I’m asking you to pitch in ahead of our end-of-month deadline on Monday.
