After six decades spent serving our country, Justice Stephen Breyer announced he will retire from the Supreme Court. Justice Breyer served with distinction as a Corporal in the Army Reserve, a federal Circuit Court judge, and a justice on the highest court in our land for nearly 30 years. On the Supreme Court, he played an integral role in defending the Affordable Care Act and a woman’s constitutional right to make her own health care decisions. We owe Justice Breyer a debt of gratitude for his years of service and his commitment to justice and fairness for all. John, it’s time for President Biden to nominate a qualified justice to fill this vacancy, and I look forward to doing my part to swiftly confirm the next Supreme Court justice. With the Supreme Court about to consider cases that will impact reproductive health care, gun violence, and other important issues, this appointment decision has come at a critical moment for our country. It’s moments like these that underscore the importance of the upcoming election and why it’s critical that we defend and expand our Senate Majority. Will you forward this email to five friends and help spread the word about how much is on the line in 2022 and ask them to get involved? Keep fighting the good fight, Tom
