[link removed] [[link removed]]Dear John,
In spite of what you may have seen in the news or on social media, let’s be clear: the Build Back Better Act is not dead. Negotiations are happening and the climate, jobs, and environmental justice investments could form the bedrock of a new package. This is thanks to your countless collective actions over the last several months.
But, we don’t have a deal yet and your continued activism is needed to make sure we don’t miss our last, best chance to tackle the climate crisis.
Today, Americans across the country are calling their Senators to urge them to do all they can to get a deal done. Senator Angus King has a vital role to play and has been encouraging his colleagues to support this critical legislation. Please join us in thanking Sen. King and offering him the motivation to keep going .
📞 Call Senator King 📞 [[link removed]]As we continue to push for Senate passage of the Build Back Better Act, the deadly, devastating, and staggering costs of inaction on the climate crisis make it clear that we need to act now. And we should want to — the investments proposed in the Build Back Better Act will create millions of good-paying union jobs; a healthier, more equitable and just clean energy future for all; and lower energy bills and other monthly expenses for families across Maine.
We need to ramp up momentum for the Build Back Better Act to make these benefits a reality.
