On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, NGP VAN will perform a necessary maintenance upgrade to our systems handling payment processing. This work will commence at 7:00 am Eastern and though the active work period will likely be much shorter, please prepare for up to one hour of maintenance.
This maintenance window will result in delays to payment processing. Online Actions contribution forms will continue to be accessible and accept submissions, but processing payments and recording contributions in the CRM will be delayed until the conclusion of this work.
Please note that this work will not affect access to the database or other functionality.
Here are some FAQs which might answer your general questions:
What work are you performing?
We will perform necessary maintenance upgrades to our systems handling payment processing.
Will my database be unavailable?
No, this work will only temporarily affect processing contributions, which will be queued up during the work, and continue to process once the maintenance work is completed.
Will my Online Action Forms remain available? What will supporters experience when they visit those pages?
Online Action forms will remain available during the maintenance window. Any submissions via your forms will continue to process and will then be recorded to the database after the work is completed.
Will recurring contributions be impacted?
These will process as normal. The maintenance window is timed to start at the conclusion of daily recurring contribution processing. If this maintenance ends up running long, contribution processing will be paused and resume at the conclusion of the work.
What will happen if I have an Automation series or other Targeted Emails scheduled to go out during that time?
Targeted Email and Automations are not affected by this work.
What about other jobs that happen during that window, such as custom imports/exports, Counts and Crosstabs?
These will run as normal.
What about API-related tasks that happen during this window?
These will run as normal.
What about Pipeline? Will that be disrupted?
Pipeline will run as normal.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
Yours,
Mark Puleo
