Steven Rowe, MD, Announced as Chief Scientific Officer

Yesterday, we announced Steven Rowe, MD, will be the Foundation's next scientific officer. His more than two decades of work in cystic fibrosis and experience contributing to research in personalized medicine and identifying compounds to restore the function of nonsense mutations make Dr. Rowe distinctly suited to lead our scientific strategy as we pursue a cure for all people with CF. He will join the Foundation as CSO starting July 1.

Throughout 2020, people with cystic fibrosis managed their health amid disruptions to daily life caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Data captured in the CF Foundation's Patient Registry show remarkable trends in the health of people with CF and the care they received in partnership with their CF care teams – a testament to the strength and resilience of the CF community.
