Dear Friend.

Our January 12th Rural Roundtable was attended by people from all over PEI.

Please join us for our second Rural Roundtable forum on February 3rd at 6:30pm - this time on the topic of "All things Land".?

Our first Rural Roundtable had nearly 80 participants from all over PEI, including representatives from key rural stakeholder groups including agriculture, fisheries, non-profits, environmental groups, municipalities, business and economic development, and much more.

Land use planning came up as an issue at several of the forum "tables", and was by far the top issue that participants said they wanted to discuss further, so we decided to hold a Rural Roundtable specifically dedicated to "All things Land". Depending on the interests of the participants, this can include such topics as:

- Rural and urban land-use planning

- Land ownership

- Land conservation and stewardship

- Watershed stewardship

- Climate change adaptation planning

- Indigenous land claims and title

What is the Rural Roundtable series of forums?

Rural Roundtables are designed to start conversations with and among Islanders about the future of rural Prince Edward Island.?

We're looking to the knowledge, experience and imagination of rural Islanders to help create a vision of prosperity, resilience and vitality in rural Prince Edward Island. What we talk about, and what you tell us, during the Roundtables will help shape Green Party of PEI policies and our next platform, and will help inform the work of the Green Official Opposition Caucus.?

While these are taking place online for the time being, we hope to be able to also organize in-person regional Rural Roundtables when circumstances allow.

Who can participate in these discussions?

Everyone is welcome - you do not need to be a Green Party member or even supporter to participate. We want to hear from you regardless of your political leanings and get as many perspectives in the room as possible.?

Please help us get the word out! There are only so many people we can reach directly to advertise these Rural Roundtables, so we greatly appreciate it if you could pass this invitation along to others who you think should be part of this conversation.?

We hope you can join the conversation!
