MSNBC's Joe Scarborough asked A.G. Holder why there seem to be more fair maps emerging from this redistricting cycle than we saw during the 2011 cycle. Here's what he said:

→ The NDRC has focused the issue for the American people

→ There's been a call for greater transparency in the redistricting process

→ Voters have passed redistricting reform measures that are now paying off

The bottom line? It’s because of people like you! This community’s donations have helped us educate people about the need for fair maps, fund our on-the-ground work to demand transparent redistricting, and support reforms such as independent redistricting commissions. (Guess what? States that have enacted reforms are drawing 173 congressional seats this cycle!)
