Dear John,

This week, we’ve teamed up with the national League of Conservation Voters (LCV) for the Build Back Better week of action, a week of social posts and online actions to support the Build Back Better Act. We need your help to keep the momentum going! Using our online form, take action by thanking Senators Wyden and Merkley for all they’ve done to get the Build Back Better Act this far, and encourage them to keep working to get it over the finish line [[link removed]]!

The Build Back Better Act is our biggest and best chance for climate action at the national level. It passed the House a few months ago, and, in the coming weeks, the Senate has the chance to pass a strong version of the Build Back Better Act. We are more determined than ever, and we will keep fighting to ensure the climate investments in the Build Back Better Act become law.

Senators Wyden and Merkley have been champions of the Build Back Better Act from the beginning. They’ve been working hard to get the U.S. to pass the strongest climate action our country has ever taken–legislation that would help revitalize our economy, cut our climate pollution in half by 2030, create good-paying jobs in clean energy, and help us work toward a healthier and more equitable future.

This is a big moment in history: younger generations are looking to us, because what we do now determines their future. We need to take action before it’s too late–and the Build Back Better Act is the kind of bold action we need. Please email climate champs Senator Wyden and Senator Merkley, and encourage them to keep up the fight for the Build Back Better Act [[link removed]]. We’re almost there!

Thank you,
Lindsey Scholten
Deputy Director, OLCV
