ICYMI: The Supreme Court will rule on Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health this year. The case involves Mississippi’s total ban on abortions after 15 weeks. If the Court allows the ban to stand, it could virtually end the right to abortion.
Since the Court first recognized our constitutional right to abortion care, anti-abortion groups and lawmakers across the country are making it harder for everyone to access care. Our abortion rights are on the line. But our lawmakers can take action now to protect it and go beyond Roe.
But the fight to protect Roe isn’t just about abortion. If the Court overturns Roe, our other rights and liberties like marriage equality are at serious risk. These attacks on our abortion access and other civil liberties most harm communities already marginalized by our economic and health care systems.
I’ve never lived without Roe, and I don’t think any of us should. Tell policymakers to safeguard, expand, and ensure abortion rights and access.
