Bear spray.
On Tuesday, a sitting United States Senator actually went on National TV and encouraged Americans to use bear spray on teachers and other responsible men and women encouraging the use of masks in public.
There’s no doubt that Rand will say this is a joke so he can hide his hands — but we see him for the reckless, pointless, dangerous, racketeering sham that he is.
Rather than offering any leadership about saving lives, Rand Paul would rather incite violent actions towards people who ask him to follow science. Remember: they used bear spray on January 6th too.
We’re sick and tired of politicians who make jokes about a pandemic that’s left over 870,000 people dead in our country. We’re sick and tired of elected officials making money off us getting sick. Rand has been representing Kentucky in the U.S. Senate for more than 10 years. For more than a decade, he could have used his power to uplift Kentuckians and our Commonwealth. But the only person who's benefited from Rand being in the Senate is Rand himself.
Even now — in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic — Rand refuses to lift a finger for the record number of working families who are struggling to make ends meet and instead whines on Twitter about how “masks don’t work.” Now, he’s suggesting that people use bear spray on others who ask them to wear a mask.
He’s consistently ignored Kentuckians and our needs. Instead of fighting to reduce poverty, protect voting rights, and provide healthcare to all — he picks petty fights with leaders like Dr. Fauci on national television. He uses his elected office to profit off the pandemic and trade stocks with insider knowledge.
It's time to elect someone who's the complete opposite of Rand Paul.
Someone who knows what it's like to not have enough money to feed his family.
Someone who looks at his community and asks, "How can I help?"
Someone who isn't afraid to fight for the right thing even when it isn't politically convenient.
