Friend --

A new Republican opponent has entered the race for our district. I won't mince words: He's the most dangerous one yet.

Some of you might know his name: Mark Blaxill. He most recently served as the Treasurer for the Minnesota Republican Party after decades as a Boston-based businessman. A transplant to Minnesota, he has been pushing right-wing, anti-vaccine conspiracy theories for two decades -- and become nationally known for it.

This is a game-changing development, and it adds new urgency to our first big fundraising deadline of the year. So I’m personally asking, Friend: Will you rush a contribution before our official end-of-month deadline to power our campaign? [link removed]

Look, I've never taken a dime from PACs, special interests, lobbyists, or other members of Congress – and I don't plan on starting now. That's why fundraising emails like this are so important.

We're running a people-powered campaign, and your response to this email makes a real difference as we prepare to take on our most dangerous opponent yet.

So as we face our first big fundraising deadline of 2022, will you chip in $10 to power the campaign we're building?

If you've already contributed this month, thank you. If you've been thinking about it, I hope you'll chip in before our end-of-month deadline, midnight Monday.

Thank you,

Dean
