In some of the biggest counties in Texas, close to HALF of absentee ballot requests are being rejected under Republicans’ voter suppression law, SB1.

But while Democrats in the Senate push for federal voting rights legislation to undo legislation like SB1, two DEMOCRATIC senators—Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema—sided with Republicans to vote no. Instead of protecting our democracy, they stood with Republicans to undermine it. It’s shameful.

But we can’t give up. We must push for federal legislation to undo SB1 and work like hell to register and mobilize every voter we can.
