January 27, 2022 John,
During the 2020 campaign, President Biden rightly stated: “No one should be in jail because of marijuana. As President, I will decriminalize cannabis use and automatically expunge prior convictions.”
After one year in office, this promise has yet to be fulfilled. Despite having explicitly pledged to do so, there has been no progress from the Administration to advance marijuana expungements. That is why we need you to join us in urging Biden to take action to pardon those thousands of individuals who are saddled with a criminal record for a federal marijuana-related offense.
Click HERE to join us and call upon President Biden to keep his promise and expunge the records of the thousands of Americans with federal non-violent marijuana convictionsIt is time for the president to wind down America’s War on Drugs by providing a clean slate to those who have been saddled for far too long with a marijuana conviction.
