Hey -- So far, the RNC has spent $2.3 million on anti-impeachment efforts.
First, they dropped six figures on misleading attack ads against vulnerable pro-impeachment Democrats.
Then, Republican members of Congress stormed into the SCIF -- a secure compartmented information facility -- where a witness to the Ukraine call was about to give testimony. They barged into a closed meeting in an attempt to interrupt the impeachment proceedings, and in the process, they brought their cell phones into that secured room.
And now, we found out that the RNC funded an effort to jam House Democrat’s phone lines with 11,000 automated calls, creating chaos as part of a larger strategy to defend Donald Trump last week.
An RNC spokesperson called the House impeachment inquiry a “charade,” but not only was their latest attempt to interfere with the inquiry yet another example of how much they’re willing to abuse our political system to defend Trump, but it clogged the lines and very well could have prevented voters who needed resources from their representatives from getting through to constituent services.
