Nonpartisan experts across the board have rated North Carolina’s Senate race as one of the most competitive ones of the cycle.

According to FiveThirtyEight’s analysis, our race is one of two pickup opportunities for Democrats where the outcome is expected to be “particularly close.”

With the incumbent retiring in a state as large, diverse, and rapidly growing as North Carolina, Democrats are in a prime position to flip this seat with Cheri Beasley leading our ticket.

But it will take significant resources. Super PACs have already been on the air, and corrupt special interests are prepared to spend limitless sums to try to buy this seat for a Republican who will rubber-stamp their agenda.
