While we organize all year round – no matter if it’s an election year or not – our work increases in a year like 2022. Here’s why:
In an election year, we’re not only organizing around the issues that matter to us from the Green New Deal to housing justice. We’re also running polls, sending out mailers, creating digital content, and more to ensure that every voter in NY-14 knows Alexandria’s record and is ready to vote.
This year also presents a unique challenge because our district lines have been re-drawn, and we still don’t know yet exactly which areas will be in Alexandria’s new district.
So I’m telling you what I told our entire team earlier this month: We’re officially in campaign mode and we need all hands on deck.
Our fundraising slowed down in January which isn’t great timing as we ramp up our campaign efforts and do everything we can to make sure Alexandria is reelected to Congress this year.
Right now, we’ve raised just over $96,000, and we need to hit $150,000 by January 31. Every donation adds up to make a big difference and will allow us to start this election year strong.
