Even after the FBI raided his home and campaign office, Rep. Henry Cuellar
announced that he’s still running for re-election. We thought he might
drop out of the race, but now we know we have a real race on our hands.

Here’s the thing, though: the FBI raid and the ongoing investigation into
Cuellar is giving Jessica Cisneros a huge opportunity in this primary.

Jessica only lost her race against Cuellar in 2020 by 2,746 votes. Jessica
has the corporate-free, progressive policies that people in TX-28 want.
Now, she has the momentum while Cuellar deals with the FBI.

But Cuellar still has millions in campaign cash from the Kochs, Wall
Street, Big Oil, Big Pharma, and corporate PACs. We’re counting on you to
help keep Jessica’s momentum going with grassroots support right away.

As a reminder, the FBI raid on Cuellar’s home and office is part of an
investigation led by the DOJ team that handles issues related to bribery,
corruption, election crimes, and more. That investigation is related to
ties between U.S. businessmen and Azerbaijan.

An FBI raid is a very bad look for Cuellar, especially this close to the
primary. He may say the investigation will show “no wrongdoing” on his
part, but the public surely is questioning why the FBI was at his house
and campaign office, lugging out boxes of evidence.
