Hi Everyone,
I wanted to send a quick note to make sure you saw that the 'Riot Bill' or the anti-protest bill passed today on party lines.  The Assembly passed the bill 59-34 and the Senate 21-12.  (For reference, here is the letter that you [350 Milwaukee] signed on to in October).

Please contact the Governor and ask him to veto the bill.  It now goes to his desk and we need him to veto it.  You can call his office at (608) 266-1212 or email him at [email protected].

Please let me know if you want more information or to know what we're thinking about for next steps.

Thanks,
Elizabeth

Here's what the ACLU has to say about the bill:

350MKE Fridays for Future

Friday, January 28, 2022
12:00 - 1:00 pm

Chase Bank
N Lydell Ave & W Silver Spring Dr

Masks and Physical Distancing as appropriate

Chase Bank, among many, continues to invest heavily in new fossil fuel infrastructure.

Chase is making profits while disregarding the cost to us - everyone of us!  They are following Marcus Aurelius' “Live as though today is your last day.”

What will be left?

We have Chase and fossil fuel signs available
You can also bring your own signs!

If the temperature is less than 10F, or there are weather advisories, we will not demonstrate.
