Friend, It’s Thursday, and you know what that means! It’s time for another episode of Out in Front with Annette! Tonight at 5:00PM, we’ll be inviting some terrific Nevada women on to discuss the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA)’s 2nd anniversary of being ratified by 38 states, the number required to initiate a Constitutional change. The ERA would address discrimination based on sex by guaranteeing that women cannot have their constitutional rights abridged or denied based. This could impact laws currently on the books and future laws pertaining to pay, reproductive health and discrimination. But what does that all mean for Nevada? The ERA will be on the Nevada ballot this year. After years of working to get it ratified, we finally have a chance for Nevada voters to speak their minds on this issue. Join us for a conversation on the Equal Rights Amendment TODAY at 5pm, on Facebook or on YouTube with Jeri Burton, President of Nevada NOW, Tess Opferman, Director of the Nevada Women’s Lobby and Maria Nieto Orta, Political Director of Somos Nevada. We hope we’ll see you there!
