We're Charting Our Course for a Livable Future at CCL's Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference! Join us for one afternoon or two — there's something for everyone.
Online: Saturday, February 5, 1–5 p.m. (plus an after-party!) In person: Sunday, February 6, 2–4 p.m. at Bowie State University
February 5 will kick off with a welcome and insights shared by CCL’s new Executive Director, Madeleine Para and bipartisan climate champion, Senator Chris Coons at 1 p.m., followed by a plenary panel discussion with Tykee James, Wandra Ashley-Williams, Sevim Kalyoncu, and Jack Thompson on how we can chart our course together with allyship, extending the fabric of “we.”
Please consider entering our art contest with your vision of what it means to chart our course for a livable future. Winners will be announced at the end of our online day, followed by an after party and reflection with Trevor Cohen co-author of Bright Green Future.
There's something for everyone from community connections and reflections to workshops for building skills and knowledge, including how to use the En-ROADS model to demonstrate the effects of mitigation policies on health, finance, and sea level rise! On February 6, for those who are able, President Aminta H. Breaux will provide her insights at a two-hour event at Bowie State University, centered on youth empowerment and allyship.
Come to connect, learn, and strengthen our community, either online or in person. Check out the full agenda HERE.
