This baby goat was just rescued and desperately needs your help.

Did you see the news about Milo? I’ve cared for thousands of animals, but I’ve never met a sweeter baby. He’s a happy little guy – he loves life.

So we won’t give up on him. But we need your best gift to help cover his critical care. Can you chip in today?

Emergency rescue: Milo the baby goat just got his test results.

Our recently rescued baby goat has A SERIOUS INFECTION and DEGRADING BONE TISSUE in his neck.

He’s still too little for surgery. His bones haven’t even fully formed yet.

But he needs help IMMEDIATELY—including a neck brace and wheelchair.

See, the vet bills keep rising. We’ve already spent more than $7,300 on Milo’s care, including a CT scan and an MRI, and more to come. Can you PLEASE make a gift now?

Friend - it was early on Christmas morning, and two newborn baby goats lay there on the cold, hard ground.

One was stillborn. The other was Milo—barely clinging to life under a broken umbrella.

Milo and his mom were sold off to breeders—but both were soon discarded. Mom was sent to a “sale barn.” And we were asked to take baby Milo...

We said yes. But right now, our unexpected new rescue is too small and weak to walk or even stand. He’s still at risk. He needs you!

It’s pure luck the breeders gave up on Milo and reached out to us, or he would have certainly died.

But I also know this—Milo was MUCH too young to be forcibly separated from his mother that way.

All he came with was half a bottle of his mother’s milk. And he needs a whole lot more to get him on his feet.

At his young age, he is HALF the weight he should be (less than six pounds!).

Kindred Spirits Sanctuary takes on the most challenging rescues. And we’re preparing for a battle. And we won’t stop fighting for Milo.

We know he’s been deprived of so much. He’s weak, unable to stand on his own.

Now, Milo’s suffering from an infection, severely anemic, and just not feeling well. So he’s going to the vet to stay and get IV antibiotics and keep him closely monitored.

But I’m optimistic with 24/7 veterinary care, and your help, Milo will pull through.

It must have been traumatic being ripped from his mother so young. But Milo is alert and responsive. He loves to be touched and held.

Our goal is to help him fight this infection, gain weight and get him healthy. We need your help to care for Milo, and all our rescues, and right now he needs:

  • Extensive medical care including blood work, IV antibiotics, and maybe even a transfusion for his anemia
  • Food and nutritional supplements to help him grow
  • Round-the-clock care that his mother isn’t here to give him

And this is just the start.

For now, we’re just comforting him and giving him all of the medical care we can. He’s our Milo, and we’re glad he’s here. He needs medical care, food, lots of love … and he needs YOU!

Sincerely,

Logan Vindett

P.S.    When we were asked to rescue Milo, we didn’t hesitate. We knew you’d come through. He’s still at risk and severely underweight, and the next few days will be critical if he’s going to pull through. Will you please make gift to help?
