Hi —  It’s so frustrating to see federal action on the Build Back Better Act stalled in the Senate. Time is running out to make the once-in-a-generation investments that we need for a greater, greener America.  But what you’re not reading about is that there’s energy in Congress to pass this bill. What leaders need to get this through and keep it as big and bold as possible are our voices and engagement.  That’s why we’re part of Climate Action Week – a week of events, news stories, Hill visits, and other advocacy that’s designed to ramp up and focus pressure on the Senate. If they see that the demand for change is still loud and clear, we can force their hand.  The House has already acted, and it’s time for the Senate to finish the job before we lose this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Urge your Senators to pass the Build Back Better Act without further delay. Build Back Better will help us deliver on national and state level goals to fight climate change, support clean energy jobs, bring justice to communities of color, and decrease carbon emissions. More specifically, it could help save people $500 a year on their energy bills and cut climate pollution in half by 2030.  The climate crisis is affecting communities nationwide. Passing Build Back Better will help protect our communities from flooding, drought, and extreme heat, and correct the environmental injustices predominantly burdening communities of color and low-wealth communities.  Voters expect action. Right now is the time to finalize this transformational bill and get it done. Congress must swiftly pass the Build Back Better Act and send it to President Biden to sign into law.   If you’ve already sent a message, thanks!
