Jack, the 2022 midterms will be here before we know it—and the first primary election is on March 1. If you're upset at politics today, we need you to help a fantastic progressive defeat a right-wing Democrat who has obstructed our agenda in D.C.

Jessica Cisneros is a human rights attorney and daughter of working-class immigrants from Mexico who believes in a pathway to citizenship, universal health care, expanding Social Security, and protecting reproductive rights. And she is running to primary Rep. Henry Cuellar.
Cuellar is the last anti-abortion Democrat in Congress. You may have heard of him in the news last week, after the FBI raided his home and campaign office. But while the corruption charges are not yet proven, Cuellar has long been a problem for progressives. For example, he was one of the nine House Democrats who nearly sabotaged the Build Back Better Act.
You can phonebank for Jessica (reaching Texas voters in this election) from anywhere in the country, and all you need is an Internet connection. You will get a full training to get started, and there will be a co-host on Zoom to support you the entire time that you are available.

The lack of action in Congress over the past few weeks has been depressing. And it's all because of right-wing Democrats like Henry Cuellar. If we don't want the 2022 midterms to become a bloodbath where Republicans retake Congress, we must support good progressive Democrats like Cisneros who are waging credible primary challenges.
March 1 is the primary, which will be the earliest primary election for the 2022 midterms. As the media presumes a Republican landslide this year, an early Cisneros victory could help change that political narrative and reverse Democrats' fortunes for November.
Having campaigned for this Texas seat once before (she got 48% of the vote in 2020), Jessica Cisneros is well known in the community and well positioned to defeat the incumbent. And with the FBI raiding Cuellar's home and office, she now has a very good chance of winning—if we help make it happen.
