We have big news to share in the North Carolina Senate race, and we need your support to help us start our general election strong.

Democrats in North Carolina are uniting to focus our efforts on defeating whichever Republican is nominated for this seat. Earlier, my Democratic opponents State Senators Jeff Jackson and Erica Smith both ended their campaigns and endorsed our campaign.

This is an incredible opportunity for Democrats in North Carolina. There is ongoing “public brawling” in the Republican primary between failed former Governor Pat McCrory and Donald Trump’s hand-picked candidate Rep. Ted Budd. But right now, Democrats are coming together to make sure we can win the general election and expand our Senate majority!

It’s important we lay the groundwork today. This is going to be one of the toughest races of 2022. CNN has named this as one of three seats “most likely to flip” to Democrats in 2022, and a recent poll of our general election showed our campaign within 1-2% of either of Republicans’ likely nominees.

Mitch McConnell and his dark money allies are going to want to start spending millions on attack ads against us at any moment now. So we need to be ready to fight back.
