Today’s news about the Supreme Court vacancy couldn’t come at a more important moment for our nation.

For Michigan and for our country, the next Justice must be a champion for women’s rights, the right to vote, health care, workers’ rights and so much more.

Unlike the Justices selected by Donald Trump -- Justices who are now on the verge of overturning Roe v. Wade -- I have full confidence that President Biden’s nominee will champion our issues, especially a woman’s right to make decisions about her body and her health.

Friend, today is a reminder that elections have consequences. It’s a reminder that progress is fragile and our voice and vote truly matter.

In the upcoming midterms, it’s imperative that we keep progress moving forward. That means I need your help once again to make sure Democrats keep our majority in Congress and win key races up and down the ticket in Michigan.
