If you know me, you know I'm big on gratitude. So today, I'm extending my profound gratitude to Justice Stephen Breyer, who just announced his retirement from the Supreme Court.

Breyer served our country in the Army. He educated the next generation as a law professor. And in his more than four decades on the bench – including nearly 30 years on the Supreme Court – he faithfully put country over politics and upheld our Constitution.

When he leaves the court later this year, it will be with an honorable legacy of fairness, pragmatism, and bipartisanship. I hope you’ll join me in thanking Justice Breyer for his decades of service today.
