With Texas’ first-in-the-nation primary just a few weeks away, Team Lizzie is hard at work! Some good news to report this week!

The Texas AFL-CIO, with the recommendation of the Texas Gulf Coast Area Labor Federation, endorsed Lizzie for the 2022 election, a testament of her commitment to working people across our community and our state.


In addition, the Houston Black American Democrats endorsed Lizzie this week as she continues to fight to eliminate barriers to participate fully in the democratic process and ensure Black Americans have their voices heard.

Last Saturday, we marked 49 years since the Supreme Court handed down its decision in Roe v. Wade, a case brought by bold Texas women challenging unjust and unconstitutional laws banning abortion. Lizzie and several of her congressional colleagues spoke out on abortion rights in Ms. Magazine to mark the occasion. You can check out the piece and her quotation here.

As a long-time advocate for choice, Lizzie is proud to have earned the support of Planned Parenthood Action Fund in her re-election campaign for TX-07 this cycle. With women’s reproductive rights under attack in Texas, Lizzie will continue to fight for our privacy, dignity, freedom, and care.

With five weeks to go until the March 1 Primary Election, we are focused on talking to new voters in TX-07 and making sure they have the information they need to cast their ballots in March and again in November.
