[1]Women's March
John – for almost
a year, we at Women’s March have been calling on Justice Stephen Breyer to
step down from the Supreme Court.
Now, our hard work has paid off: Today, Justice Breyer just announced that
he’ll be retiring this year.

This is a vital moment for the future of our progressive values. Women’s
March is prepared to organize and fight to ensure President Biden acts
quickly to fill this vacancy. [ [link removed] ]Will you chip in $3 to
support our organizing team’s efforts? This is a critical opportunity for
us to build our feminist future and appoint another Justice who will
defend women’s rights to the Supreme Court.

John, we
commend Justice Breyer for making the right and righteous decision. He’s
cemented his legacy as a champion for women and we’re grateful for his
decades of service.
But now it’s time for us to get to work and fill his seat with a Justice
who will preserve the progress we’ve fought so hard for.
With so much on the line — including the reversal of Roe v. Wade and the
potential end of abortion as we know it — President Biden and Senate
Democrats must now act swiftly to nominate and confirm his replacement. In
fact, there’s no reason not to match the speedy precedent set by President
Trump’s nomination of Justice Amy Coney Barrett. With the necessary
political will, Democrats can and should confirm Breyer’s replacement no
more than 30 days after he officially steps down at the end of the term.
Whoever we confirm will determine the future of health care, abortion
access, housing rights, and so much more.
That’s why Women’s March is getting straight to work so we can organize
and put pressure on President Biden and the Senate to appoint a
progressive Justice to the Supreme Court. [ [link removed] ]Will you chip in
$3 right now to send a powerful message today that our
movement is ready to fight to transform our Supreme Court?
