We need climate action, not politics and business as usual
Nancy Pelosi has held the CA-12 Congressional seat for longer than I’ve been alive. The world has changed dramatically in those three decades, but our approach to climate change has been ‘business as usual’.
Nancy Pelosi dismisses the “Green New Dream or whatever” and my generation around the world looks on in anguish. It’s much harder to dismiss the more than 11,000 scientists from 153 countries ([link removed]) who this week signed a letter they called their moral obligation to tell it like it is: Earth is clearly and unequivocally facing a climate emergency.
Scientists are telling us we need a paradigm shift in policy, but that will only happen with new policymakers who will prioritize the environment.
Recently I marched with my sister and thousands of other high schoolers in the San Francisco climate march, and students are not merely angry - they are galvanized to support new leadership that will take their future seriously. I'm proud my sister will cast her first vote in an election with my name on the ballot.
I’m running for Congress because it’s time we had representation responsive to voter priorities. Chip in and let’s get climate action on the primary ballot in March. Now, for a $30 donation get a Agatha For Congress t-shirt! ([link removed])

Thank you for your support! Our thoughts are with those affected by the California wildfires. 🚒 We hope to see all politicians make climate action a priority.
