Angela Davis is a former Black Panther leader and abolitionist who has continuously fought toward Black liberation.
For her entire life, Angela Davis has embodied what radical social change is, and what it means for Black people everywhere. In all her life's work, she's brought the power of protest to the polls and has worked tirelessly to abolish the prison-industrial complex, as well as exposing the importance of intersectional Blackness and feminism.
Angela Davis serves as a major pillar of compassion and commitment in the Black community that believes in
us; believes in
all Black people. Whether it's Black people creating their own power, structure, or wealth – Davis has always embodied what Black liberation means.
She is a part of the DNA of today's Black society where we empower one another in our activism and our creativity.
Her authenticity in the fight for Black lives has never been more apparent.
