We just learned that Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer will retire from
the Supreme Court, leaving the Biden administration to fill this
unexpected vacancy.

Three questions frame our big and unexpected fight ahead:

 1. Who will Joe Biden nominate?
 2. Will corporate Democrats, like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, vote to
confirm them?
 3. How much will right-wing extremists try to smear and obstruct the
nominee?

The Biden administration has a responsibility to nominate a progressive
Justice who will counter the influence of the six conservative Justices on
the bench and make good on his promise to appoint the first Black woman
ever to serve on the Supreme Court. Corporate Democrats have already
undermined Biden’s agenda, and we know there is no limit to their
obstruction.



We’re no strangers to tough fights, and we’re ready to use the power of
our movement to ensure that a progressive Justice is nominated to our
