Justice Stephen Breyer will be retiring from the Supreme Court at the end of this term.
This is a huge opportunity for President Biden to nominate a Justice who will not only work toward achieving racial, environmental, and economic justice — but also be the first Black woman named to the Supreme Court in our country's history.

During his campaign, Biden pledged to nominate the first Black woman to the Supreme Court, and the stakes couldn't be higher in the Supreme Court currently.
Last year, the right-wing Supreme Court blocked the eviction moratorium that Cori spent days pushing Biden for. And this term, the Supreme Court is set to rule on the future of Roe v. Wade, gun rights, affirmative action, and more.
