Republicans continue to issue threats about what they plan to do should they take back the majority in this year’s midterm elections.

FIRST, Kevin McCarthy threatened to strip Democratic members including Ilhan Omar, Adam Schiff, and myself of our committee assignments should he become Speaker of the House.

THEN, Newt Gingrich said he’d like to jail members of the January 6th Committee if Republicans win the House.

NOW, Steve Bannon has made a chilling threat. If his faction of the Republican party returns to power, Bannon warns that he and his GOP cronies “are going to take over the election apparatus.”

These three stooges are making a lot of promises to punish their political opponents and further undermine our democracy. I have every intention of ensuring they are not able to capture the House majority and follow through. If you, too, want to stop these three from gaining any power, will you contribute to protect the Democratic House today?

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Bannon, but this is just the type of return we feared. Now, as Republicans become emboldened by their record fundraising ahead of the midterms, the GOP is rushing right back into the arms of their favorite alt-right grifter, Steve Bannon. And if Bannon gets his way, he’ll control our "entire election apparatus.”

Our country cannot afford to risk elevating voices like Bannon again. If Republicans win the House, that is exactly what they will do — and I fear these voices will be deciding all our futures...
