The fight continues…
Build Back Better will take time to pass. It’s worth it.

John,

This week, we’ve seen why Wisconsin needs Build Back Better. In our conversations with voters and elected officials, we’ve again learned what this bill means for our communities – and we are confident we can work to pass it.

Build Back Better will make a difference for Wisconsin. It will boost the numerous local clean energy campaigns we’ve passed with critical funding and keep them on track to meet their goals. It will tackle pollution, from coal in Brown County to lead in Milwaukee, and the growing list of communities with PFAS-polluted drinking water in between.

The fight goes on for Build Back Better. We can – and we must – pass this bill.

When elected officials like Ron Johnson, one of the country’s most vocal anti-science lawmakers, prevent the Build Back Better Act from moving forward and passing, they prevent our state from accessing critical investments that would make our communities healthier, more prosperous, and more fair. We cannot accept this.

This moment is too critical and this bill is too important to give up on. We’re encouraged by Biden’s confidence in passing the climate provisions of Build Back Better.

Now, it’s time for the Senate to pass the Build Back Better Act and get the job done for Wisconsin. Together, we’ll stay on their case until they do.

Sincerely,

Casey Hicks
