And while we have the expertise, the will, and the strategies to take on these challenges – and win – we also know that progress on these issues will be long-fought and hard-won and that our resources are going to be continually stretched.

By making your monthly pledge before January ends, you'll be ensuring that our most critical efforts are fueled every single month this year, including:

• Protecting and expanding the right to vote against blatant voter suppression efforts – especially in the lead up to the midterm elections this November
• Defending access to abortion with every tool in our arsenal as the nation faces the greatest threat to Roe v. Wade in generations at the Supreme Court
• Continuing the imperative and long-overdue work to transform our country's history of systemic racism into a future of systemic equality
• Remaining vigilant defenders of our first amendment rights to free speech, protest, and freedom of the press at a time when our democracy is at a crisis point

It's critical that you respond before the end of month deadline – with Roe v. Wade on the line, with our democracy under constant threat, and with millions of people counting on us, the ACLU needs to be at our full-fighting power throughout 2022 to pursue this work with the urgency it demands.
