This commitment to upending our political system was on display for all to see as a vote on historic voting rights legislation was blocked in the Senate last week. The focus of our work to defeat their power grabs has always been in the states -- including recent decisive wins in litigation that struck down maps in Ohio and Alabama.

Here’s a look at what we’re doing in the states. I mentioned that the Ohio State Supreme Court invalidated the gerrymandered maps drawn and voted through by GOP lawmakers. But now, our volunteers must rally to demand that the legislature and commission there ensure that the redraw of the maps is fair.

In Florida, which just gained a congressional seat, we’ve now entered the thick of the redistricting process. The All On The Line team is working closely with volunteers to mobilize against gerrymandered map proposals.

And in Texas, voters are in the midst of court battles over the gerrymandered congressional map, and we’re proud to be supporting a group of voters in their efforts to challenge it.
