New York Times: Supreme Court to Hear Abortion Case From Louisiana

Team: The future of abortion access in this country is in jeopardy thanks to Republican-controlled state legislatures and extreme Supreme Court Justices like Gorsuch and Kavanaugh.

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments around a Louisiana law that, if enacted, would leave the state with ONE abortion doctor in a single clinic, effectively banning abortion for many Louisiana residents. This will be the first abortion case the Supreme Court will take on after Trump’s two appointed conservative justices have shifted the Court to the right.

But the ramifications of this decision could reach far beyond state lines, and could ultimately threaten the future of Roe v. Wade and meaningiful abortion access for the entire country.

Democratic AGs are fighting every single day to protect access to abortion for everyone, and to make sure abortion providers such as Planned Parenthood are able to provide health care to their patients. But in this pivotal moment, they need every single supporter standing with them on this issue.
