NIAC's mission from the very beginning has been simple: give Iranian Americans a seat at the table so that decisions about our community are never made without our awareness or input. For the past two decades, we've done just that and more by creating a space for the Iranian-American community to both demand action and celebrate our culture through community-building.
2022 marks NIAC's 20th Anniversary.
It's hard to imagine that NIAC has been around for 20 years. But as I look back on our organization's history, it's clear that we've been at the forefront of every issue facing the Iranian Americans. And that's only because of the strength of this community we've built.

Last December, I sent you emails briefly highlighting what we hope to accomplish this year. Here's a reminder of what we're planning to do in honor of our anniversary.
We've got big plans for this anniversary year , including securing minority status for Iranian Americans through the Small Business Association, improving customs processes so Americans can send mail to their loved ones in Iran, and finding solutions to unjust bank account closures.
We've got ambitious plans for the upcoming year. But as we've learned over the last two decades at NIAC, it takes a community to create meaningful, life-altering change.
