Friends, I have bad news: We came about $5,000 short of our fundraising goal last night. Falling short puts us at risk of losing this race, especially when my opponent has millions of dollars to spend attacking me for the next six days.

Thankfully, the same generous group of donors is upping their match. To make up for yesterday's missed goal, every single donation made before midnight will now be TRIPLED.

You know the stakes, friends. The progress we've made in expanding affordable health care, growing our economy and investing in education - it's all at risk. The GOP and my opponent want to take us back to the Bobby Jindal days, and that's why I'm putting everything I have into these final six days before the runoff election. But I need you with me, fighting just as hard.

In a race as close as ours, every dollar matters. We can't afford to take matches like this for granted. So I'm asking again:
