Maryland drivers owe more than $13 million in DC traffic fines

Maryland drivers owe more than half of all the DC traffic tickets issued to drivers in the DMV. Virginia drivers owe 31% and DC drivers owe 16.5% of the total.  (Cuneyt Dil / Axios DC)

Metro still working on 7000-series return plan

Metro still hasn’t submitted a plan to the Washington Metrorail Safety Commission to return its decommissioned 7000-series railcars to service. They are currently testing technology to measure the width between wheels to monitor for the defect that caused a Blue Line derailment in the fall. Former Wardman hotel site could become 900 apartments in Woodley Park
