FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION: EMAIL MESSAGE TO STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION January 26, 2022 FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION The State Board of Education (SDE) is asking for public comments before it writes the permanent rules needed to comply with House Bill 1775 prohibiting the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT). The content we provide in this link was written to ensure schools comply with HB 1775. Your comments are due by February 2 at 4:30 PM. Send your e-mail to [email protected] SIGN YOUR NAME at the end of the email. To send email: Mail to: [email protected] Subject line: Public Comment for Proposed Permanent Rules HB1775 The body of email: Download, then copy the Word document titled, “Public Comments Proposed Permanent Rules HB 1775.” (14 pages) available here. Paste all 14 pages into your email. You may also add a personal story about your child or grandchild or your concerns about this indoctrination in our schools before you copy and paste the Word document. Copy and paste the word document into the body of your email after you make your personal comments. This carefully thought-through document enables the staff at the Department of Education to know specifically what you want to have either changed or kept in the proposed Permanent Rules. You may also simply attach the downloaded Word document to your email. Place your name at bottom. These must be submitted by 4:30, February 2nd. You will be required to sign in, and time limits may be imposed.
