I have some HUGE news that I want to share directly with you: I'm running for Congress in 2022.
Cleveland needs a change maker — not someone who’s only in Washington to go along and get along.
Cleveland deserves a representative that understands that health care is a human right that’s been denied to millions of Americans for far too long and will fight for Medicare for All.
A representative who knows poverty is a policy choice and the minimum wage must be raised to a living wage of AT LEAST $15 per hour.
A representative who has served on the front lines of the fight for criminal justice reform and voting rights — not for days, but for decades.
And a representative with a record of speaking truth to power and unapologetically fighting for working people.
Because here’s the truth: We can get an agenda through Congress that puts working families first. And that is something worth fighting for.
I’m committed to this fight, but I cannot do it alone. The ONLY way our campaign is going to be able to take on the powerful special interests and Super PACs that are going to organize against us is with a massive grassroots movement of folks like you.
All of the great social justice advances that we ever had in this country have come not from people with big titles and not from people at the top, but from everyday people getting together and saying 'Enough is enough. I'm going to change this, and I'm going to get involved, and I am going to be engaged.'
That is what we are trying to do here on this campaign. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being a part of it.
