Since we took back the House, we've passed nearly a dozen bills to expand coverage and improve affordability in our existing health care system and lower costs for prescription drugs.
Despite this success, we're still facing an uphill battle with Big Pharma, Senate Republicans, and their supporters. With nearly one in four Americans who rely on prescription drugs say they're having trouble affording their medication – we need action sooner, rather than later.
Here's what we're thinking: get more generic drugs to the market and promote competition among drug manufacturers to lower prices.
Will you join me in supporting this simple idea? Sign the petition: urge my colleagues in Congress to take action to make prescription drugs more affordable.
Prescription drugs are central to the lives of so many Americans – let's do right by them.
